About Albana

Albana qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2014 and has since worked in the community within social care and the private sector.

She has worked with clients of all ages; including services for children and young people aged 0-25. She works with clients with complex health needs, profound and substantial disabilities including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, brain injury, amputations, orthopaedic trauma, auto immune disorders, muscular dystrophy, autism, global developmental delay and learning difficulties.

Albana specialises in minor and major adaptations, providing adaptation specifications for level access showers, height-adjustable baths, ceiling-track hoists, through-floor-lifts, stair-lifts, wheelchair platform lifts and wheelchair ramps. Albana’s areas of expertise also include the assessment of specialist equipment for bathing, toileting, sleep systems and specialist seating systems to provide 24-hour postural support as well as to optimise a safe and accessible home environment. Her interventions have included specialist equipment including seating assessments, wheelchair assessments, wheelchair accessible vehicles, bathing/showering equipment, hoist systems, safe padded beds and general equipment. Albana has also worked alongside building contractors when there has been a need for minor or major adaptations to enable wheelchair access.

During her career, Albana has built up extensive experience working alongside case managers, social workers and education and healthcare professionals. Albana is a highly passionate and enthusiastic therapist who seeks the skills and knowledge to develop a therapeutic and person-centred rapport with all clients to meet their needs.
